Jazlynns Baptism :)

For those of you in the family that did not know, Trenas neice Jazlynn has been living with us since the beginning of april (about 3 months now). She is 15 years old and needed a change of scenery to start her life on a better path. Trena and i agreed to help her out. It has been a challenge at times, but it has been very rewarding also. She has been a delight to have with us. After about a month or so of living with us she was comfortable with going to church and loved going to mutual also.

The first month she thought it was boring at times, but got used to church and the different activities. After family home evening one night she was asking a lot of questions and we asked her if she would like the missionaries to come over and explain things to her. She agreed and wanted them to come over and was very excited. After about 3 weeks or a month she agreed to be baptised.

Yesterday, June 28th at 6:00pm, she was baptized. It was a very special day. Her mom and family came from the Boise area and her great grandpa and grandma Pallesen joyfully came also. I cant describe how special it was. The Pallesens were very happy and proud of her. They bought her a beautiful portrait of Jesus holding children. Jan Pallesen spoke on baptism and Trena spoke on the Holy Ghost. I was able to participate by baptising Jazlynn. It was a great experience. The first time i have baptized a family member and the first time i have baptized in english.

I got some of the young women to do a special song at the baptism. They sung "When i am Baptized". I love that song and even though it is a primary song it is so simple and really embraces what it means to be baptized. Trena and i cried and im sure many others did also. I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity to see Jazzlynn baptized. I can only remember my own baptism and the blessings i have because of my membership in christs church. Im so greatful for the gospel in my life and the blesings that come from living it. I love my family and all your examples to me! We are truly blessed to have the gospel.

Today will be Jazlynns confirmation at church and Doug Pallesen will be confirming her a member and giving her the holy ghost. I challenge all of you that read this to remember your own baptism and the blessings that come from living the gospel. We love you all!

Ross Park Swimming :)

Ok, so me and Jordan went to the water park here in Pocatello today. It was pretty fun, but Jordan did not like getting in the water by himself that much at all. I had to hold him the whole time. They have a little kids pool that is like one foot deep with a playground in the middle and he would not walk around in it himself. He wanted to play basketball because they had basketball hoops in some of the big pools. Overall it was fun!
wondering what to do?

Park Pictures :)

Jordan loves going to the park. We take him probably everyday except sundays. He climbs the "big slide" by himself and loves going on the swing also. When its rainy or bad weather we take him to the mall where they have a playground for kids that is really cool. He also loves feeding the squirrels and playing on the computer. He climbs up on the chair himself now and pretends hes typing. He is growing up fast! Love you all!
